A Girls Skirt in Red



Here is another girls skirt!

I made this from a tutorial I saw HERE. Very easy and comes with free downloadable instructions.

This is what I did:

Measured my fabric, cut the bottom piece, and straight stitched together.

Using pinking shears I cut the edge and then straight stitched that down.

For the bottom hem, I folded twice and straight stitched.

This is inside and outside:



Now the top elastic tunnel. I folded once a few cm, straight stitched, then again big enough for the elastic to go through.



Serged the side seams, stopping just where the elastic tunnel is, using a safety pin, threaded my elastic through, and straight stitched the opening closed.


Done!

I would guess this is about a size 3T.



I love how this turned out. Will have to make more!
